He was born in 1950 in Kharpai village, Moscow region. Graduated from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute named after I. Fedorov (1970). Teachers in the specialty - M. Ivanov, O. Krylova, B. Valuenko. Member of the National Union of Artists (1978). Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. Shevchenko (1983). Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2004). Laureate of numerous contests, fairs and festivals. Member of the Board of the Association of Art Galleries of Ukraine. Since 1971 he has participated in more than 40 art exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. He held about 20 personal exhibitions in Ukraine, Germany, South Africa. His works are kept in the Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the State Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine, the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko, the Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
