The work of the Jewish public figure Yurii Arie Vudka's 'Moskovschyna' (1947) sharply criticises the ideology and practice of Russian imperialism. In his memoirs, the author depicts the life in prison. In 1969, he was sentenced to seven years in a high-security concentration camp for Zionist activity.
